At
Waterdrinker, we offer more than just plants and flowers. We’re working towards
a more sustainable future! Together with the trading companies of the Dutch
Flower Group, we follow the IMPACT25 Sustainability Program: an initiative that
focuses on transparency in the chain, with attention to people and the planet.
One of the pillars is trading sustainably certified products. To stimulate the
sale of these products and to make it as attractive as possible for customers
to buy sustainably, we offer them the opportunity to receive an overview
indicating which products have been purchased, which of them are sustainably
certified, and what kind of certification it concerns (think of products with
an MPS-A or GAP certification).
This is
particularly interesting for florists who (want to) carry the independent
quality mark 'Barometer Sustainable Florist'. With this list, they can show how
many sustainable plants and/or flowers they have bought in the GTC. With this,
they can supplement their 'sustainability barometer'. Depending on the number
of points they earn, a bronze, silver, or gold label can be awarded. That label
is valuable because it shows that the florist in question operates in a
sustainable manner. Something consumers are paying more and more attention to
these days.
Together we
make a difference
