Waterdrinker is striving to create a happy and healthy living environment using plants and flowers. Our aim is that more and more people will begin to realise the importance of greenery in their environment. It goes without saying that it is in line with our vision to invest in 'green' energy.
One of the most important initiatives is that 5.500 solar panels were installed, by Solar Access at our site in Aalsmeer, the Netherlands. This impressive solar roof is expected to generates more than 2.000 MWh of green energy yearly. The production of solar electricity will cover entirely our electricity needs. The additional green electricity will be delivered to the national grid so others communities will benefit of the green electricity. These 11.100 square metres of solar panels add up to a reduction of 1.332 ton of CO2 emissions yearly.
Together we can make sure to keep the world green and healthy. With plants and flowers of course but also with green energy. We are very happy we took this step and want to thank Solar Access for the nice cooperation!
